Hejmelit. A member of the Zef Tuku family asks the
Shuk Ndoci family for its forgiveness. Bishop Bode Gjergi is the gaurantor of
the reconciliation ceremony between these two families. Reconciliations are
very rare and often require years of mediation. The Catholic church has
played an important role in these attempts at pacification. Usually
reconciliations are marked by an air of festivity, but in this case great
tensions remained between the families and at the end of the ceremony there
were no celebrations.
