"Earthquake Pakistan" On the 8 of October 2005, a destructive earthquake hit the northern parts of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. In Pakistan, the provinces of Kashmir and the Northwest Frontier suffers hardest. As far 73,000 people have died, 125,000 got injured and more than 3 million have lost their houses. The city of Balakot which is situated in the Kaghan valley; NWF province is one of the places which turned into ruins totally. Only in Balakot and surroundings tens of thousands people have died. More than 2 months after the earthquake people are still digging for their relatives and friends. The old mosque in the center of Balakot became a ruin. The local people in Balakot are praying on the square in font of the old mosque.
