Jed Conklin The Spokesman-Review
"From the Outside"
To the outside world, Christy Gerhardt leads a
normal, although impoverished, farmer's life. She attends computer classes
at the local community college and runs a farm near Airway Heights, Wash. The
farm is well-organized and Gerhardt hopes to start a business with the llamas
she raises. The outward appearance of her life is a false impression of her
struggles with mental illness.
