response to Palestinian rocket fire from Gaza causing up to 15 deaths
ovr the past few days alone. Both the USA and the European Union (EU)
annouced that they are cutting off direct finanical aid to Hamas until
it renounces violence and recognizes Israel. According to the UN Relief
and Works Agency, a creeping humanitarian disaster is overwhelming
the Palestinian people due to prolonged Israeli policies of systematic
closures, blockades and continued violence. |
