Eloisa filters through receipts
for $30,000 of house 'payments paid to Victor
Castillo. Through an informal written 'rent to own' agreement, Castillo
'sold' this house to Eloisa and Vinicio in 1998. When Castillo stopped paying
mortgage payments for the house, the bank foreclosed on the property.
Eventually, in May 2004, officials evicted Eloisa from this home and put it
on the market for $19,000. Eloisa is desperate to have the home back; yet,
she has no credit to obtain a mortgage.
