Children gather drinking water in Lake Tanganika,
which separates the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Burundi. The
region is mostly forgotten by the western world and lawlessness, disease and
poverty thrive as a result. Those who drink from the lake often come down
with cholera, a disease that is this part of the world is all but a death
sentence.
