Wounded soldiers are being flewed back for after treatment in their home countries. The field hospital in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan is believed to be the hospital in the world that receives the highest number of trauma patients. So far aproximately 1600 international ISAF-soldiers have lost their life in the war in Afghanistan. The year 2009 had the highest number of civilian casuals.
