At the Ghost house in Maderson, S.D. (a few miles
down the road from the Wounded Knee Massacre site) 15 people live in one 3
bedroom home. In this image a young couple sleeps in the living room under a
flag that represents the end of the "Trail of Tears." Most people
lucky enough to have housing on Pine Ridge live in overcrowded homes, with
2-4 families living in each. Most houses have no electricity because ther
eis no money to pay the bills.
