Ryan Hardy of Australia bodyboards a large wave while competing at Rockstar Games Pipeline Pro Bodyboarding contest on January 12, 2007 at the Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Pipeline is one of the world's most dangerous waves because of the heavy watery barrels it creates when a swell rolls over a shallow, jagged reef. Local surfer and shaper Joaquin Velilla of Puerto Rico died at Pipeline earlier the same day. His body was never found.
