"A CRY FOR THE TIGER"

A conservationist with a local nonprofit discovered this snare, using a puppy for bait, set by a tiger hunter near Kecamatan Lhoong Kabupaten in Aceh, Sumatra. Villagers claim that this tiger hunter has killed nine tigers since the tsunami hit in 2004. Discovery of this trap, prompted an investigation ensued that nabbed both this poacher and his son, another poacher. It was estimated that between them, they have killed 160 tigers over the last 60-some years.
