Somewhere on the road in central Bulgaria. Winter period is the hardest one for the Bulgarian elderlies. Due to lack of financial opportunities most of them are forced to collect dry twigs and branches in the nearest forests in order to have material to warm the wood-stoves in their small houses. After collecting the wood material they take the firewoods on their backs and usually walk for one to three kilometers to their homes. March 2010.
