Somewhere near the village of Smolyantsi, north of Bulgaria an elderly woman is seen. She have lost her husband some few years ago. Her two children, who are living in one of the few Bulgarian big cities and abroad rarely visit her due to lack of financial opportunities.Today her only fellow is the donkey Zorca.

North of Bulgaria is the most poor region in the country as well as in the entire EU Zone. Here and in the all region of Bulgaria the elderly citizens are struggling to survive every single day. October 2010.
