"exodus"
Over one million Iraqi refugees are now living in Syria after fleeing the conflict in their homeland. Many have settled in the neighbourhoods of Saida Zainab and Jaramana on the outskirts of Damascus. They tell stories of kidnappings, killings and threaths from their homecountry. Families of Iraqi refugees families arrive in Damascus on a bus after making the dangerous journey from their homeland at night. Every night, several buses arrives with new refugees, mostly women and children.. |
