"Nurturing Orphaned Orangutans"

Orphaned orangutans and their keepers at an area of forest where they can learn and develop the necessary skills to survive in the wild at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation’s center in Nyaru Menteng, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Since 2012, the center has returned 158 Orangutans back into the wilds of Central Kalimantan. Orangutans were believed to be among the wildlife killed by massive fires in the Indonesian regions of Borneo and Sumatra late 2015 that destroyed more than 2.6 million hectares of forests and killed untold numbers of wildlife.
