Every year thousands of people are disregarded and abandoned on the streets by their own families. For the most part, happens in persons with mental disorders but also to temporary depressive states that end, in most cases, to take refuge in the abuse of alcohol. This is further undermining their mental health, thus increasing the number of alcoholics in this country is the highest of all the Indian sub-continent.
